Its been a long time...

After a lengthy absence from this blog, I did some soul searching and recognized that I really missed posting here and wanted to get back to it.  It was not by conscious intention that I stopped, somehow I grew to allow outside influences to take precedence over my own point of view and personal interests.  I had to wrest control of my spare time back. 

Victory.

It was an interesting journey, though not one I would encourage others to take.  One good thing that happened along the way though was a reawakening of my creative soul and a reaffirmation that the things I enjoy have serious meaning in my life and should not be dismissed.  I realized that by doing so I had accidentally dismissed parts of myself.    So I have re-oriented my priorities and placed time at home, creating and posting (!) much higher on the list.

Fairy Garden

I haven't done a lot of gardening but I did start putting together my Fairy Garden.  I have a weakness for miniatures and all things doll sized anyway so this seemed like a natural extension!

Doll Retreat 2013

This Year's Retreat Teacher was Leslie Molen.  We did her Santos Cage doll.  Here is a picture of mine...I still need to work on her hair.

Touring with Colleen Babcock

While in London I got a chance to finally meet up with Colleen! She took me on a great trip to Great Missenden. We shopped at Rainbow Silks and other stores, ate lunch, talked and talked....and had a grand time. I was so happy to meet Colleen in person as we have only known each other through email.  I probably would not have ventured out of London on the train without some help so it was an added bonus to get to visit Great Missenden. Below are pics of Colleen...we were very taken with the little doors of the old buildings.

Stone Henge

Just got back from a great trip to Europe.  I will post more pics, but for now...here are my Stone Henge pics...I was able to get inner circle access...the only way to tour Stone Henge if you get the chance!!

Morning at the creek

I love my back yard....the wild flowers are blooming..its really ice plant...the flowers open when the sun hits them. And there is a nice collection of critters out almost every morning...including my dog, Elle dee.
